After recently releasing our first three beers in December of 2012 (an Amber Ale, a Chili Ale, and a Blonde), we’re excited to announce we’ve just tapped our first beer of the new year – a Pale Ale strong enough and hoppy enough to be considered an IPA by most beer enthusiasts.

Named Revenge in an homage to the infamous “Curse of Montezuma,” our Pale Ale is your chance to get even by drinking Mexican beer instead of the water. Like most IPAs, Revenge is higher in alcohol content, packing more of a punch than our already potent line up of artesian beers.

“We’re really excited about this first batch of Revenge,” says Los Muertos Owner & Brewmaster Conner Watts. “As a Pale Ale, it’s pretty darn hoppy, which I think most IPA drinkers will really appreciate. Our first run of Agave Maria went over really well with Amber lovers, so we’re excited to have the Revenge ready for those who like a bit more hop.”

Still on the way are Mujeriego, a fruit infused ale, and McSanchez, a creamy stout. Accompanying all the beers are our already acclaimed (thanks for all the kind reviews!) wood-fired pizzas and other traditional pub fare from our restaurant on the second floor.

Beer lovers who vacation/live in Mexico are rejoicing as the craft beer movement in Canada and the US begins to take root in Mexico, a country traditionally dominated by two mainstream beer companies. With the release of Revenge, Puerto Vallarta joins cities like Caba San Lucas, Guadalajara, Mexico City, and Monterrey who now offer hoppier alternatives to the traditional lagers of Mexico.
